[Executive Board] [UW-River Falls Friends Program]
UW-Eau ClaireBBBSoC is a student organization that was established in 2007. The organization is a way for College Bigs to meet, socialize and have fun.
We plan on hosting a few activities a semester for you and your Little to participatein aroundcampus. This allows you to share your world on campus with your Little and it is an opportunity to do fun and inexpensive things together. These events are for School based matches as well as Community based matches. We are also involved in campus organization events such as BOB in the spring.
If you are already a Big, watch for emails for upcoming events. If you are not a Big but would like to participate in activities call BBBSNW for more information.
We are also looking for members to help plan activities. If you would be interested in being a part of the planning committee please contact Aimee at BBBSNW. This is a great way to get involved around campus and a great resume builder!
The Friends Program is a student organization that serves youth from the community through one-to-one mentoring relationships in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters. The Friends program originated to provide college students who do not have their own transportation an opportunity to be invovled with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The college students meet their Little's on campus and participate in fun and inexpensive activities around campus that are set up by the Friends Leadership Team. Some examples of our activities include ice skating, day with the physics department, trip to the campus radio and television studio, and scavenger hunts.
The Friends program is an after school mentoring program that allows Bigs and Littles to get to know each other and enforces Bigs to keep contact with their Littles once a week. Our Wednesday group currently has 18 matches and our Thursday group has 9.
