A Letter From Our CEO & Board President

Dear Friends,

On behalf of our Board of Directors and Staff, we just want to say thank you for all of you who have committed your time, talents, and financial support to our agency. We couldn't do what we do without you.

Every year we have the honor and responsibility of serving the youth of Northwestern Wisconsin. We have the responsibility of transforming the lives of the children we serve. This is a responsibility we do not take lightly. We continue to focus on high quality, high impact relationships. We know through our process that we are making a real impact on the lives of children. They deserve the best from us, as does the community.

We know mentoring works. The studies prove this. Everyone involved in our agency plays a vital role in helping children reach their potential, changing their perspectives, and changing lives. Everyone involved is helping us contribute to better schools, brighter futures and stronger communities for all. Together, this can be accomplished.

But there is more work to do. Just imagine how Northwestern Wisconsin would look if every child who needs a Big Brother or Big Sisters could have one. What could that start? That would be the start of something BIG. We are just scratching the surface of what we can and will accomplish. We are starting something!

Volunteer Commitment
Our Bigs (mentors) contributed a total of 27,196 hours in 2010 to our Littles (mentees). At a current value of $17.85 per volunteer hour, our Bigs contributed a total value of $485,450 to the children in the communities we serve. That is a tremendous amount of service value to our community.
Moving Forward
As we move forward, we will continue to maintain our high quality program with measurable impacts on the children we serve. We need everyone's help to see our vision come true. The demand for our services is higher than ever. More children are in need of and waiting for a Big. This is the time for everyone to Start Something!

Sincerely,

Craig Monson, CEO
