When you donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters, you are changing the life of a child.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is donor driven, youth mentoring organization. Support from individuals & companies like you is vital to provide mentors for children in your community. In order to match a child with an adult mentor we need a donor. Watch Empowering Every Match.
Research shows that the Big Brothers Big Sisters program works. Children who have a Big Brother or Big Sister show real differences in their personal and academic lives. They have increased self-confidence, are less likely to use drugs or alcohol, perform better in school, and have a better relationship with their peers and family.
It costs $1,000 to match and support 1 child with 1 volunteer for 1 year! (According to national research, this is a bargain!)
Donations of all size can make an impact:
- $12 - Provide child safety materials for 4 matches (Big, Child, & Parent)
- $25 - Interview 2 new potential volunteers
- $40 - Conduct a background check on 1 volunteer
- $60 - Recruit 2 new potential volunteers
- $70 - Pay for the cost of insurance for 1 match
- $150 - Provide on-going match support for 1 match for 6 months
- $630 - Cover the cost of staff time associated with enrolling a child, a volunteer, making the match, and supporting the match for 1 year!
- $1,000 - Cover all of the costs associated with making and supporting 1 match for 1 year.
