When people think of mentoring, they think of Big Brothers Big Sisters. That’s because for more than 100 years we’ve worked to develop a youth mentoring program that works. Our experienced approach to recruiting, screening, matching and supporting our mentoring relationships has resulted in thousands of lasting relationships and helped change the lives of young people across the country.

Parents are our Partners.

We’ll work closely with you; your input is important. Not only do you provide information about your child’s strengths and needs, but you approve the selection of the Big Brother or Big Sister. Once the match is made, parents remain closely involved in several key ways.

Your child's safety is very important to us.

Big Brothers Big Sisters conducts a thorough background check on every volunteer before they are matched with a child and regular background screenings are conducted on each volunteer. Our professionally trained Match Support Specialists also maintain consistent contact with the children, families, and volunteers to ensure the child is safe and happy with the match.

Enrollment Process

Have a parent or guardian call our office Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at 1-800-648-1696.

We will set up a time to meet with both the child(ren) and parent. After the interview the parent/guardian and child will be followed up with and provided information about the next step in the process.
